St. Thomas Announcements… June 7th—14th

This Week’s Highlights ….

Pastor Jeremiah and his family are on vacation for the next two weeks.  If you have a need for pastoral care, please contact a member of the Leadership Team who can put you in touch with the assistance you might require.  Jacquie will be out of the office from noon on Thursday until Tuesday, June 13.

Sunday Worship:  All St. Thomas friends and families are invited to join us for worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday.   Our worship will look at Peace with Justice Sunday and what it means to the United Methodist Church, using Micah 6:8 and 2 Corinthians 13:11-13 as this week’s scripture lessons.

Shekels for Shingles:  We continue to seek project specific donations to fund the replacement of the parsonage roof.  This project will cost approximately $15,000 and we are just over halfway there in our “Shekels for Shingles” campaign, having collected almost $8000 to date. Be sure to memo your check for this project as you make these donations.

Coming Events:

Blood Drive & Tool SundaySee the June edition of the Word for information about the upcoming blood drive on June 12th and the Tool Sunday/Father’s Day offering on June 18th.

A Note from the Village Vocal Chords2:On September 30 we will be holding a Craft and Vendor Fair at St. Thomas as a fund raiser for the chorus.  Although we are still early in the planning process, we invite anyone in your congregation who would like to participate to let us know of their interest.  We plan on having numerous types of sellers such as Mary Kay, Tupperware, etc. but only one of each kind.  Although we will give first priority to our members, there are not many and we would be glad to offer priority status to anyone in your congregation who might be interested.  More information will be following regarding deadlines, costs, etc. but we are hoping the space will fill quickly.  In addition, any crafters who would like to participate are also more than welcome.  To reserve your spot in this fair, please contact the church office.“

Graduation Sunday; The date for our annual celebration for our graduates is yet to be determined, as we want to be sure both of our college graduates are able to be with us that Sunday.  Stay tuned for a firm date to celebrate these two young people as they move into a new chapter of their lives.
